Introduction
This lesson plan will introduce the importance of time management for the successful implementation of returning to school.
A mother’s job is never done; adding responsibility to an already hectic schedule can prove to be very overwhelming for some.
We will discuss the necessary steps required in becoming an effective student in concurrence with meeting the demands of everyday life.
Throughout this lesson, you will discover how efficient time management skills apply to various adult learning theories. I will be using a variety of techniques to keep the learner engaged such as lectures, quizzes, and photos. Kolb has identified four learning styles, and in using various techniques throughout the lesson, I hope to accomodate adult learners in all categories.
Target Audience
This lesson plan is designed to assist adult learners in developing strategies to organize their day and maximize their time. Although the lesson is targeted towards the stay-at-home mom (SAHM) returning to school, such can be benefited by all in obtaining efficient time management skills.
The adult learners partaking in the Instructional Techniques course are participating to enhance their knowledge and/or skills of teaching adults and to obtain a program certificate for potential career advancement or new career path. Having the ability to time manage is critical for the successful completion of this course.
As the instructor, I will determine if students have met the learning objectives set out, by the participation of the brainstorming activity, the answers to the quizzes provided and the responses given in the discussion forums at the end of this lesson.
