Time management is definitely a key element required in achieving success. Many adult learners may avoid this facet of learning, viewing it as a futile task to complete. However, as we have seen throughout this lesson, it plays a distinct key role. The role of the SAHM is quite challenging in of itself; throw in the task of returning to school and you may have one overwhelmed adult learner. However, as Zemke and Zemke stated, "adults who are motivated to seek out a learning experience do so primarily because they have a use for the knowledge or skill being sought. Learning is a means to an end, not an end in itself." (Zemke, 1984).
Throughout the lesson, a variety of instructional techniques were used to illustrate different methods of teaching, given that multiple learning styles exist in the classroom. (Kolb)
In conclusion, having referenced the Adult Learning Theories, we were able to apply the different Instructional Techniques to develop and complete this lesson plan.
